Alex Grech
Originally from Australia, Alex Grech moved to New York City in 2020 to study at NYU TISCH School of the Arts. Since graduating in 2024, he has worked as an actor, writer, and stunt coordinator. Alex’s primary training at NYU reflects a commitment to various acting studios, including the Experimental Theatre Wing and Lee Strasberg Institute, which introduced him to mentors such as Catherine Coray, Kevin Kuhlke, Robert Ellerman, and Rosemary Quinn. As a writer, Alex also had the pleasure of studying under Peter Meineck, whose love of and fascination in the interconnectivity of myth and art is an ongoing inspiration in his work. Alex’s training and knowledge of dramaturgy is built not only on his lived experience as an actor and creator, but on his specialization in the history of drama and theatre. His work is often influenced by classical mythology and poetry; it aims to pull at threads of humanity to explore nuance in the human experience and perhaps even touch on some concepts that can bridge socialized divides. As a writer and performer, Alex is committed to finding and exploring the ways in which art can serve as a universal language to translate ideas about philosophy, morality, culture, and change.
